1. Agreement

By using Splash & Skimmer you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

2. What this site is

An independent publication providing general information about above-ground pools, pool care and related products. It is editorial content, not professional advice, and it is not a substitute for a manufacturer’s instructions or for a qualified professional where one is needed.

3. Accuracy, and its limits

We take accuracy seriously and publish our method and our sourcing standards so they can be checked. But the information here is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, and specifically:

• Specifications change. Manufacturers revise products without notice, and a figure correct when written may not be correct when you read it.
• Our cost figures are computations, not measurements. They use stated national-average inputs. Your electricity rate, water rate, climate and usage will differ, and your real number will differ with them.
• Prices and availability are the retailer’s. Prices shown come from a live feed and are stamped with the date checked; the price at checkout is the one that applies.
• We have not tested these products. Our assessments are our reading of published specifications and are stated as such throughout.

4. Affiliate relationships

This site earns commission on qualifying purchases made through its links, disclosed in full on the affiliate disclosure page and above the first link on every page carrying one. We are not the seller. Your purchase is a contract between you and the retailer, and any dispute about an order, delivery, warranty, return or refund is with them.

5. Third-party sites

We link to retailers, manufacturers and public data sources. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content, their products or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the destination.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Splash & Skimmer and its publisher are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from reliance on its content, including damage to property, injury, or financial loss. You use the information here at your own discretion and risk, and you remain responsible for following your product’s instructions and applicable local rules.

7. Intellectual property

The text, structure, analysis and original tables on this site belong to Splash & Skimmer. You are welcome to quote short excerpts with clear attribution and a link. You may not republish substantial portions, or reproduce our compiled tables wholesale, without permission. Product names, brands and logos belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

8. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the site, submit automated traffic to the contact form, or scrape it at a volume that affects its operation. We rate-limit the contact form and block abusive traffic.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Changes take effect when posted, and the date at the top of this page will reflect the revision.
